ADU Home Evaluations
This project was referred to Basis after the homeowner was told by the city, that they couldn’t convert their permitted pool house to an ADU. The pool house met all the requirements for a conversion under gov’t code 65852.2, and Basis Studio was able to obtain approval after presenting the appropriate evidence from the state. ADUs come in all shapes and sizes, and this is an example of one that provides necessary long term passive income for the property owner, as a long term rental.
This ADU set precedence in the city of Palm Springs as the first ADU approved under the new state laws put in place in 2017. This project was a conversion of an existing permitted storage and playroom. This ADU is registered as a short term rental with the city, and provides passive rental income for the homeowners
This project is an ADU designed for a standard 5,000 sf single family lot in the city of San Diego. It’s been designed to fit on as many lots as possible and can be customized to work with many different styles. At 476 sf, this unit makes a cost effective studio that saves money on initial city fees. This ADU can be customized for your property and individual circumstances.
